WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help in finding the person who stabbed Marcus Boatwright to death earlier this month.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3000 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest on Thursday, April 11, just before 11:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located Boatwright, who had been stabbed. DC Fire and EMS arrived to help Boatwright but, he died. He was 45.
More than a week later, police say a nearby camera captured images of the person who stabbed Boatwright to death. A video of the suspect was released Friday evening on the MPD YouTube page.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (202) 727-9099 or text the department's tip line at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
