WASHINGTON — An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in Northwest D.C. late Thursday night.
Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department arrived to the 3000 block of Georgia Avenue Northwest, nearby the D.C.-Maryland state line, around 11:15 p.m. after receiving a call about the stabbing. Upon arrival they found a man suffering from stab wounds to the chest.
DC Fire and EMS arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving measures but failed. Marcus Boatwright, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are working to determine what happened that led up to the killing. The investigation is active and ongoing.
