WASHINGTON — A 16-year-old boy was arrested Saturday after allegedly robbing a CVS in Navy Yard and assaulting a security guard alongside several other teenagers. Police are still searching for suspects in this case.
On Tuesday, April 16, at 8:45 p.m., investigators say a group of suspects walked into a CVS in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue in Southeast, and took items without paying. When they were confronted by a security guard, one of the suspects threw a bottle, missing the security guard.
On April 20, as a result of detectives' investigation, a 16-year-old boy of Southeast was arrested and charged in connection to the robbery. He was charged with burglary two, theft and assault of a police officer.
Due to violent nature of the crime, WUSA9 has decided to share the photos of the suspects provided by police in hopes of having the public's help identifying them.
