WASHINGTON — DC Police have taken a suspect into custody in connection with three carjackings in Northeast, D.C. The 18-year-old man was a juvenile when he allegedly committed the offenses, therefore he will not be named.
Here's a look at all three carjackings:
- On June 19, just before 3 p.m., two suspects walked up to the victim while they stood outside their car on Minnesota Avenue. The suspects pulled out guns, got into the victim's car and drove away.
- On June 21, just after 9 p.m., the suspect walked up to a victim who was pumping gas on Benning Road. There, the suspect got into the victim's car and drove off.
- On July 1, at 8 p.m., the suspect walked up in the victim, who was once again pumping gas on Hunt Place. He got into the victim's car and drove away.
Over a month later, investigators identified the suspect and placed him under arrest. One suspect in connection to the first reported carjacking is still at large.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
