New photos released of suspect in shooting death of 16-year-old Devon Sharp

Ten days after Sharp was shot, police released images from a nearby surveillance camera of a suspect.

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a person connected to the deadly shooting of a teenager in Northwest D.C. earlier this month.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18 in the 1200 block of V Street, Northwest. 

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital for help with his injuries. He died two days later. 

The victim was later identified as Devon Sharp, of Northwest, D.C. 

Ten days after Sharp was shot, police released images from a nearby surveillance camera of a suspect.
