WASHINGTON — Days after a deadly shooting in Northwest D.C., police have identified the victim as a 16-year-old boy.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 1200 block of V Street, Northwest just before 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.
When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital for help where he died two days later.
On Monday, police identified the man as Devon Sharp of Northwest D.C.
No suspect information has been released at this time and there is no word on any possible motive behind the shooting.
Anyone with information may contact detectives at (202) 727-9099 or text the department's tip line at 50411. There is currently a $25,000 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Sharp.
