Police search for crew that robbed a man in search of drugs in Northwest

The victim was leaving the Gallery Place Metro Station when he was approached by two men and a woman, asking if he had any drugs.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are asking for the community’s help locating three people accused of robbing someone in Northwest.

On June 5, the victim was leaving the Gallery Place Metro Station when he was approached by two men and a woman, asking if he had any drugs. Police say the victim waived them off and continued walking.

The three robbers followed him, attacked him, and then stole his backpack, along 7th Street and Massachusetts Avenue, before running away.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries. He is expected to be ok.

A surveillance camera in the area captured the entire attack. If anyone can identify the suspects, they are asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
