GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect they say tried to abduct a 10-year-old girl from outside an apartment building in Gaithersburg last month.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, officers were called to the 18300 block of Lost Knife Road around 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10.
A 10-year-old girl told officers she was sitting outside when a strange man grabbed her arm and told her to come with him. She believes the stranger then ran away when he saw police cars in the neighborhood.
On Thursday, police released a sketch of the suspect. He reportedly has a tattoo on the left side of his face and a straight piece of blonde hair, according to police. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, a black sweatshirt jacket and a hood, and black pants.
