WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a man who stole a dog in Southeast D.C.
On Oct. 22, at 6 p.m., investigators say the victim in this case asked a man to watch their dog in the 3800 block of 9th Street, Southeast. When the victim asked for her dog back, the man refused and demanded the victim pay him money.
Police say the dog "Rocky Apollo" is described as a brown Pitbull Terrier mix and he is pictured below:
Anyone who has information about this dognapping is asked to call police at (202)727-9099 or text your department's tip line at 50411. Crime Solvers of Washington, D.C. currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
