Police: One man killed, another injured in Southeast shooting

The man who died has been identified by police as 23-year-old Robbie Johnson.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after one man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the shooting happened in the 3900 block of South Capitol Street in Southeast just before 3:30 p.m. 

Officers said the two men who were hit in the shooting were conscious and breathing when they arrived. Both men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have identified the man who died as 23-year-old Robbie Johnson of Southeast D.C. 

Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
