Police release images of suspects wanted for double shooting at Manassas Mall

The shooting began as a fight between two groups in the parking lot of the mall, police say.

MANASSAS, Va. — The Prince William County Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place outside of Manassas Mall Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to Sudley Road just after 2 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Police say two groups of people met near the mall food court and began to fight. During the altercation, multiple guns were taken out by people from both groups. The fight then moved to the parking lot, where multiple shots were fired.

None of the guns were ever shot inside the mall.

Everyone involved in the fight, and innocent bystanders in the area, began running and taking cover inside the mall. Two people were wounded in the shooting. A 23-year-old man was taken to an area hospital by someone they knew and a 51-year-old man was found wounded at the mall. Both are expected to survive.

Police arrested two suspects after pulling a car over shortly after the shooting occurred. A third suspect charged was the 23-year-old man injured during the fight. He remains hospitalized. Investigators are still searching for several other suspects.

There is no word on how many people were involved in the fight or what caused it to begin.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information to identify the pictured suspects or can otherwise aid in the investigation is asked to contact police at 703-792-6500. The investigation continues.
