4 people shot in Southeast DC; vehicle sought

Two men and two women were shot.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting that left four people wounded in Southeast Monday evening.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 1200 block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast just after 8 p.m. 

When first responders arrived, officers found two men and two women who had been shot. The men were taken to an area hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The women were also taken to an area hospital for treatment. They are expected to be OK.

Investigators are on the lookout for the alleged shooter, described as a man wearing a white shirt, dark pants, and white shoes. MPD also released a photo of a blue car believed to be connected to the shooting.

Anyone who can identify this car or who has knowledge of the shooting should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
