Police identify man killed in Southeast stabbing

The victim was identified as 55-year-old Alfred Fields. Police have not released any suspect information at this time.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place in Southeast on Monday. 

Police were called to the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace just before 6:45 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. When they arrived they found a man lying in the street suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. 

The victim was identified as 55-year-old Alfred Fields. Police have not released any suspect information at this time. Investigators are working to piece together the events leading up to the fatal stabbing. 

If you have any information regarding the stabbing, call police at 202-727-9099. A reward of $25,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest or conviction.
