Police charge man in connection to death in Mount Rainier

A preliminary investigation showed that Henderson and Cosme got into some sort of argument before Davon Henderson stabbed him to death.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Prince George's County Police have charged a man in connection to a fatal stabbing in Mount Rainier on Sunday. 

The police department says Davon Henderson has been charged with killing 51-year-old Julio Lopez Cosme. 

Officers were called to 33rd Street at 12:40 a.m. for reports of a stabbing. When investigators arrived they found Cosme outside, suffering from stab wounds. First responders arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. 

Officers located Henderson at the scene and arrested them. A preliminary investigation showed that Henderson and Cosme got into some sort of argument before Henderson stabbed him to death. 

Henderson is being charged with first-degree murder and remains in custody without bond.
