Suspect identified in the death of 19-year-old shot in Loudoun County apartments parking lot

On Feb. 14, officers received calls for reports of gunshots. When they arrived, Michai Dandridge-Carter was found shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a person believed to be connected to the murder of 19-year-old Michai Dandridge-Carter.

Rashaun D. Owens is wanted for Second-Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Attempted Robbery with a Firearm. 

On Valentine's Day, officers received calls for reports of gunshots in the 44400 block of Keller Square in Ashburn. When they arrived, they found Dandridge-Carter suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released much information on the investigation. They are warning residents to be cautious if they come into contact with Owens as he is considered armed and dangerous.
