Police investigate shooting in Woodbridge near police station

Police say a man was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William County Police are investigating a shooting that took place near a police station. 

The shooting happened along Tassia Lane and Norris Point Way in Woodbridge Sunday afternoon. It's not far from Woodbridge police station. 

Police say, a man was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time. 

Information regarding the victim’s name, age and where he is from has not been released at this time.

Residents can expect a heavy police presence and are asked to report anything suspicious to officers.
