WASHINGTON — A man faces charges after his roommate was found shot to death inside their shared Springdale home on Wednesday.
Richard Bennaugh, 38, is charged with manslaughter in connection to the deadly shooting of Domonique Scott Hayes, 27.
On Wednesday, at 12:30 p.m., officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to the 2800 block of Berrywood Lane for a report of a shooting. At the scene, officers found a man inside a home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators later identified the man as Hayes.
Investigators allege that Bennaugh shot Hayes during a dispute.
After consulting with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, Bennaugh has been charged with manslaughter and other related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
