GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A Gaithersburg man is being held without bond Tuesday for his alleged involvement in a string of 7-Eleven armed robberies, according to Montgomery County Police.
Earl David Long, 59, was arrested and charged for robbing at least five 7-Eleven stores in Montgomery County between Wednesday, June 5 and Friday, June 21.
The following stores were hit:
- 8900 block of N. Westland Dr.
- 10200 New Hampshire Ave.
- 900 block of Merrimac Dr.
- 8100 block of Fenton St.
- 400 block of N. Frederick Ave.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Long as the suspect.
Long was taken into custody on Friday, June 21, following the robbery of the 7-Eleven on N. Frederick Ave.
He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He faces several charges of armed robbery.
