Man arrested in connection to 3 armed carjackings in DC

Junious Plummer, 35, of Southeast was arrested and charged with three counts of armed carjacking in cases dating back to August 2023.

WASHINGTON — A D.C. man is in custody in connection to three armed carjackings dating back to August 2023. 

On Tuesday, an arrest warrant was issued for 35-year-old Junious Plummer of Southeast. Plummer was arrested and charged with three counts of armed carjacking for the following cases. 

On Friday, August 11, 2023, just after 7:45 a.m., police say, Plummer approached the victims while they were inside their car in the 3900 block of Dix Street, Northeast. Plummer is accused of assaulting the victims with a handgun and forcing them out of the car. They complied and police say Plummer fled.

On October 18, 2023, Plummer allegedly approached the victim along the 4100 block of Hunt Place, Northeast, at 1:45 a.m. The victim was outside their car when police claim Plummer attacked them with a handgun and stole the victim’s property. 

On December 18, 2023, Plummer and another suspect, whose identity has not been released, reportedly approached the victim while they were outside of their car at 7 a.m. One of the suspects pulled out a rifle and pushed the victim to the ground. Police say both got inside the car and drove away. 

Police are asking anyone with information about these offenses to call police at 202-727-9099. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction.
