Victim identified in deadly Southeast shooting, police continue to search for shooter

First responders arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim has since been identified as 29-year-old Dionzae Foote of Oxon Hill.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast. 

On Saturday, police were called to the 2700 block of Shipley Terrace, Southeast, for reports of a barricade situation. When officers arrived, they located a shooting scene and a man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

First responders arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim has since been identified as 29-year-old Dionzae Foote of Oxon Hill. 

This is an ongoing investigation and detectives are still working to piece together the events that took place leading up to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099. A reward of $25,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
