Police investigate fatal shooting in Adelphi

Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Prince George's County Police are investigate a fatal shooting in Adelphi, Maryland. 

Police responded to the 1800 block of Metzerott Road at 6:45 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Once officers arrived they located a man outside suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and suspect connected to this case. They are asking anyone with information to contact PGCrimeSolvers.
