WASHINGTON — An investigation is underway in Northwest, D.C. after a man was found dead lying in the roadway Saturday night.
At 11:16 p.m. on April 27, investigators found a man lying in between cars in the 3100 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial investigation reveals an unknown vehicle, driving northbound on Georgia Ave., NW, drove over the pedestrian and fled without stopping or making their identity known.
Police say the identity of the pedestrian killed is being withheld until his family is notified.
