4 arrested in connection to 15 Virginia ABC store robberies, $72K in stolen stuff

Investigators say the crew targeted ABC stores throughout the Commonwealth.

FAIRFAX, Va. — Several people face charges for a string of ABC store robberies in Virginia. Investigators say in total, 15 stores were hit and $72,000 worth of stuff was stolen by the crew.

According to Fairfax County Police, one adult and three minors were arrested in connection to the robberies. 

Since March, police have been investigating a crew who allegedly targeted ABC stores, loading carts with alcohol and then driving away with the stolen loot. The crew was linked to at least 15 ABC store thefts and more than $72,000 in stolen items.

On May 21, investigators arrested Jomarice Evans, 27, of D.C., on unrelated charges. Later, he was linked to multiple ABC thefts in Fairfax County.

Evans was charged with robbery, five counts of grand larceny, five counts of larceny with intent to sell, five counts of transportation of alcohol, five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, destruction of property, and organized retail theft. He is currently being held in another jurisdiction.

Detectives have also arrested three minors in connection to the string of robberies. All three have been charged with three counts of grand larceny and larceny with intent to sell.
