1 shot, another hurt after shooting at Clyde's in Montgomery County

Detectives confirmed Monday afternoon that the suspect got into an argument with the victims inside the restaurant.

CHEVY CHASE, Md. — Two people are in the hospital after a shooting in Montgomery County early Monday morning. Police are still searching for who is responsible.

According to Officer Cortes with the Montgomery County Police Department, officers were called to the scene at Clyde's Restaurant on Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase around 12:15 a.m. Monday for the report of an assault.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found that someone had been shot and another person had been assaulted. Cortes said both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were described as not life-threatening. The exact extent of those injuries is not known at this time. 

Detectives confirmed Monday afternoon that the suspect got into an argument with the victims inside the restaurant. Once outside of the restaurant, the suspect shot one of the men in the upper body, hit the other man in the face and left the scene.  

Police said no arrests have been made so far in this case. The investigation is ongoing and police are still working to determine what led up to the shooting and assault at the restaurant.
