WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A 48-year-old Woodbridge man is under arrest for using his position of power in the Civil Air Patrol to sexually assault a young girl under his command.
Keith Richard Wilson turned himself in to police on July 22. He is charged with two counts of indecent liberties by a person in a supervisory relationship and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
An investigation into the assaults, that were reported to have occurred in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County in March, was launched on April 5. The victim, a girl under the age of 18, was sexually assaulted by Wilson more than once.
Detectives say one of the assaults happened in a car at the Occoquan Commuter lot, near Gordon Boulevard and Old Bridge Road. The other happened in a parking lot on Dale Boulevard.
The victim told a family member who later reported the sexual assaults to police.
Investigators say both the victim and Wilson were members of the Civil Air Patrol at the time. Wilson was the girl's supervisor.
Wilson was later arrested and charged for his involvement in the assaults. He remains in custody.
