Black Infiniti wanted in connection to Shaw shooting that left 2 dead, 5 injured

Detectives say what is believed to be a black Infiniti is wanted in connection to the deadly shooting.

WASHINGTON — Police are looking for a car in connection to a shooting in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood Sunday that left two men dead and five others injured.

The vehicle of interest, believed to be a black Infiniti, was caught on nearby surveillance camera and can be seen below. 

On Sunday, March 17, at 3:01 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of 7th and P Streets, Northwest, for a report of a shooting. At the scene, officers found three men and two women wounded in the 600 block of P Street in connection to the shooting. All five gunshot victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Investigators say two additional men were located nearby with gunshot wounds. They both died at the scene. 

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown and under investigation. 

Preliminarily, detectives believe that one or more suspect intentionally fired a gun at the victims.

The victims have been identified as 32-year-old Anthony Brown of Southeast, D.C. and 32-year-old Jay Lucks of Baltimore, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 per victim, bringing the total possible reward up to $50,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this offense. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s text tip line by sending a text message to 50411.
