Body found in dumpster in shopping center along Prince William Pkwy

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Prince William County Police are conducting a death investigation after finding a body in a shopping center dumpster.

On Wednesday, police were called to the 2400 block of Prince William Parkway just before 12:30 p.m., for reports of a dead body. 

When they arrived they located a decomposed body between a dumpster at the shopping center located along the Parkway. Police have not released any more information related to the investigation. Officials have confirmed the body found is an adult man. The identity and age of the victim have not been released at this time. 

The body has been transported to the Medical Examiner's Officer for an autopsy to confirm the identity and determine a cause of death.

Police say, they do not suspect foul play. WUSA9 reached out to Manassas Park Police Chief to see if this discovery was in any way connected to the disappearance of the missing Manassas Park mother, Mamta Kafle Bhatt. They told us the body recovered is not Kafle Bhatt.
