HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The Hagerstown Police Department has arrested three people in connection to the murder of Kevin Michael Shepherd.
On January 26, officers responded to the 1200 block of Marshall Street for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Shepherd deceased from gunshot wounds. At the time, officers believed it was a targeted attack and not random.
Over the course of the investigation, police discovered that Jenaro Torres and Emens Rho assaulted Shepherd with a gun. Officers obtained a warrant to search their apartment and located a loaded handgun.
On Friday, police took Torres and Rho into custody. They are facing First and Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, as well as Firearm violations charges.
A third person was also arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Shepherd, Stephanie Paulino. Police did not release her involvement in the crime, but they say that all three suspects knew Shepherd.
They are currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center.
