DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. — Four people are facing charges after police say they killed a man in District Heights last summer. Two of those suspects are just 16 and 17 years old.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit, the four suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Michael Zion Jones, 19-year-old Jacorey White, a 16-year-old boy from Hyattsville and a 17-year-old boy from Fort Washington.
All four suspects are being charged as adults in connection to the death of 19-year-old Anthony Ward III of Upper Marlboro.
Investigators say Ward was killed on June 10. He was one of three people found shot in the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike around 3:15 p.m. The other two victims, a man and a woman, survived.
Detectives say the suspects and victims knew each other and that the shootings stemmed from an ongoing dispute but no further details were released.
All four suspects have been charged with first and second-degree murder, attempted first and second-degree murder and related charges. They are in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
