WASHINGTON — A teen is in custody for robbing a woman of her coat in D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department arrested a 14-year-old on Saturday after he held a woman up at gunpoint and robbed her of her coat earlier this year.
On January 24, police say the teen approached the victim in the 500 block of Q Street Northwest. The teen took out a gun and demanded the victim’s coat. Scared and unaware of what was happening, the victim complied and gave the teen her coat.
He fled the scene and she called police shortly after. The teen is now being charged with Armed Robbery.
No word yet on when his first court appearance will be scheduled.
