WHEATON-GLENMONT, Md. — Two teens are in custody in connection to a shooting in Wheaton. Police say they are facing multiple charges of first-degree assault.
According to police, a 15-year-old and 13-year-old boy were arrested for a shooting along Glenmont Circle Tuesday afternoon. An investigation revealed that the two teens got into an argument with another group of teens prior to the shooting.
Someone took out a gun during the argument, the victims ran away, the two teens chased after them. It appears the victims got into a car and tried to leave. The 15-year-old began shooting at the car with the occupants inside. No one inside the car was injured.
Both the 13-year-old and the 15-year-old are being held at the Department of Juvenile Services.
