First ever 'Autism in the Park' event hosted by Anne Arundel County

The event will include interactive play, entertainers, face painting, and Autism-friendly resources.

PASADENA, Md. — Anne Arundel County is celebrating differences on May 5 with its first-ever Autism in the Park event. The event is co-sponsored by the Anne Arundel Recreation and Parks and the Autism Society of Maryland. 

Autism in the Park is free for all ages and will be held at Lake Waterford Park’s Blue Jay Pavilion from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will include interactive play, entertainers, face painting, and Autism-friendly resources. 

Lake Waterford Park is located at 830 Pasadena Road, in Pasadena. There will be limited parking available in the park. Overflow parking and shuttle services will be provided at Pasadena Elementary School at 401 Pasadena Rd. 

Activities include: 

  • Face painting
  • Resource fair 
  • Yoga 
  • R.I.C.O.C.H.E.T. Dance Troupe 
  • Sensory Activities 
  • Food Trucks
  • Playground 
  • Bocce
