WASHINGTON — D.C.’s Pride Parade is just a few weeks away. This year’s parade is taking a new route and the Capital Pride Alliance is searching for new faces to volunteer to help navigate this path.
This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, June 8 beginning at 3 p.m. It will begin at 14th and U Streets N.W. with participants sashaying to the end at P and 21st Streets, N.W.
The Capital Pride Alliance welcomes volunteers each year.
To become one, head over to their website capitalpride.org and create an account. Once you’ve completed your profile, you’ll receive an email to activate your Pride365 community profile.
Within your profile you’ll find an array of events you can volunteer for that take place all year round, not just centered around the parade. From there you will receive emails for trainings, orientations, and notifications.
