WASHINGTON — Attention dog lovers, the Humane Rescue Alliance will be holding an adoption event on Saturday.
The remaining 11 adult dogs rescued from the Northeast home where three D.C. police officers were shot will be up for adoption. Anyone interested in meeting the dogs and adopting a new fur-ever friend can visit them at the adoption center located at 71 Oglethorpe Street, Northwest. The center is open from 12 p.m.-7 p.m. every day.
For those who can’t make it out on Saturday, HRA is holding an adoption event on Sunday at 2301 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Southeast from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Only the dogs rescued from the Northeast home on Valentine’s Day will be at the event.
The Humane Rescue Alliance took in 31 dogs in total following an hours-long standoff between a man and MPD. This is the second event they’re holding to help find the dogs new forever homes.
