Here's where you can volunteer on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the DMV

There are several opportunities to give back in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is approaching, and it's a great time to give back to the community and lend a helping hand. It's also an opportune time to get educated on Martin Luther King Jr.'s lasting legacy.

'The Many Futures of Dr. King'

Students at Duke Ellington School of the Arts will perform an original work inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Performances will take place throughout the day on Monday.

Make welcome baskets and visit care and rehab facilities
