Get out and meet some new people this weekend at one of our suggested events happening around town.

WASHINGTON — Don't let the weather keep you inside all weekend.

Here are some fun and free events happening around town that won't cost you an arm and a leg. 

Thursday, Jan. 11:

Improv for All! Workshop at Petworth Library

  • Head to the library from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Kansas Avenue for a WIT’s free introductory Improv For All workshop.
  • No theatre experience needed.

50 First Jokes Comedy Show

  • The multi-city comedy event is back in D.C. this year at Hotbed.
  • Tickets are $10 per person to attend the comedy show.
  • Doors open around 20 minutes to showtime.

Friday, Jan. 12:

Bombs Away! Your not-so-ordinary comedy show

  • Doors open at 7:30 p.m., show will begin at 8 p.m. 
  • The free comedy is being held at the Saloon on U Street.

Saturday, Jan. 13:

Power Yoga + Pilates Class with Ivory Howard 

  • An instructor will guide participants through a series of poses for increased balance, strength, and flexibility.
  • Whether you're a beginner who wants an introduction, someone hoping to learn new poses at their own pace, or an advanced student seeking to develop their skills...all levels are welcome.
  • Tickets are free. 

Reggae Fest D.C. MLK Weekend at the Howard Theatre

  • Anyone 21 and older is invited to the epic dance party at Howard Theatre. 
  • Tickets start at $25 per person.

Onesie Bar Crawl in Dupont Circle 

  • Dress up in your onesie and go bar hopping during this event from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. in Dupont Circle. 
  • Registration is only from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., where attendees can expect to get their souvenirs and wristbands.
  • Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased online here

Sunday, Jan. 14:

Booze Free Bingo for Dry January

  • Join Metrobar for a Dry January celebration.
  • Tickets are $5 to participate in Bingo. 
  • The bar has a list of zero proof cocktails to choose from. 

Tara Hoot Brunch Bingo

  • $10 lets you join in on the Bingo fun at Whitlow's. 
  • Bottomless mimosas will be available for $25 per person.
