HYATTSVILLE, Md. — A former NFL player turned chef and restauranteur is helping us get uplifted. Chef Tobias Dorzon, a proud son of Prince George's County, is taking top honors for his culinary contributions.
Recently, Dorzon was named Chef of the Year by the Restaurant Association of Maryland — a first for a chef from Prince George's County. Dorzon is the executive chef and owner of Huncho House in Hyattsville, and he is about to open a second restaurant there soon. He has appeared on multiple Food Network shows and is the host of Time Out with Tobias on ESPN and Hulu.
He was recognized by Prince George's County leaders for his accomplishments. Citing his "passion for food and commitment to elevating the dining experience in the county," council members praised the Riverdale native for keeping his talents in the county, and presented him with a proclamation at a recent council meeting.
