Injured eagle found in landfill in Stafford County

The department has since named the injured eagle "Flight Schrute."

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — An injured eagle was found among trash at a Stafford County landfill Monday morning.

Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said in a Facebook post that the eagle is suffering from an injured wing. The department has since named the injured eagle "Flight Schrute." 

"The ill-eagle activity was quickly addressed," Decatur wrote in the Facebook post. 

The eagle is headed to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center to get help with its injured wing.
