Awesome Con
You might see superheroes, villains and more flocking to the Washington Convention Center this weekend. Tens of thousands of fans -- many in costume -- will be checking out their favorite exhibits at Awesome Con.
The event covers popular characters from comic books, T.V. shows and movies. It runs until Sunday.
37th annual Smithsonian Craft Show
Over 100 artists are set up at the National Building Museum for the 37th annual Smithsonian Craft Show.
The show features handmade items, from jewelry to sculpted furniture.
Whether you're a collector or a window-shopper, the show has one-of-a-kind works for any budget. The show runs through Sunday.
FilmFest D.C.
The 2019 FilmFest D.C. features 80 films from 45 countries, over the course of 11 days.
One of the highlighted movies is a documentary titled "Traveling While Black."
The documentary will be shown Sunday and Monday afternoons.
You can check out all movies, theaters and showtimes online. The film-fest ends May 5.
