Here's your guide to DC Summer Restaurant Week

The highly-anticipated event for food lovers kicks off Monday with specials and promotions.

WASHINGTON — D.C.’s coveted highly anticipated  Restaurant Week kicks off on Aug. 12 with a celebration of all of the cuisine that makes the District great.

Hosted by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), the seven-day event brings together foodies with some of the nation’s best chefs and world-class cuisine, paired with specials and deals to expand your palate.

From cocktail or wine pairings to curated dinner menus, there are many ways to become a gourmand of the city’s flavors.

Check out a full list of participating restaurants here. Here are a few standouts.

Tonari (Chinatown)

This restaurant will feature a $55 summer dinner menu, featuring strawberry and tomato pasta, chilled peach and tomato soup, and rice pudding. Their specials will also extend an extra week through August 25.

Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza (Chinatown)

The new Chinatown location will be participating in the event for the first time with a special lunch menu for $35.

Casa Teresa (International Square)

The Spanish restaurant will offer a family style menu for $65 per guest with a $35 wine pairing.

Daikaya Izakaya (Northwest)

This Japanese cuisine eat (featuring a ramen shop) will serve a $40 dinner menu including classic Izakaya items, such as grilled avocado with ponzu and wasabi, caico e pepe with udon and cheese, Keema curry with wagyu and labne matcha soft serve with sweet red bean and mochi.

Haikan (Northwest)

This ramen and small plates dining will include a $40 dinner menu, featuring duck ramen, maitake ramen, and ice cream bao with coffee ice cream and condensed milk.

Lyle’s (Dupont Circle)

Located in the Lyle Hotel, the restaurant is offering a $25 lunch menu and $55 dinner menu. Some of the featured items include a fried chicken sandwich, kimchi and short rib sandwich, and their popular banana bread.

La Bise (Connecticut Avenue)

This classic French dining will feature a special three-course menu for $65 and will feature heirloom tomato and watermelon vichyssoise, civet de poulet, a dark chocolate mousse, and more.

Modena (New York Avenue)

If you’re craving Italian cuisine, this spot will be offering a $35 lunch menu and $55 dinner menu. The dinner menu will feature a caprese salad, scallop crudo, Alaskan halibut, ricotta cake, tiramisu, and more. Their promotion will be extended from August 13 to 24.

Rasika Penn Quarter (Penn Quarter)

This Indian dining experience is offering a lunch menu of $35 per person and dinner menu of $55 per person. The dinner menu will feature items including the kebab ghee roast dosa, sarson tikka, Manipuri chicken curry, and one of four featured desserts.

SABABA (Cleveland Park)

This restaurant will be highlighting modern Israeli cuisine with dinner menu offerings of $40 and $55 per person. Some of the items featured include a Salatim plate and hummus, lamb shank, and an Israeli salad.

Little Blackbird (Cleveland Park)

This wine bar will offer a three-course menu for $55, including items like burrata and roasted peaches, seared sea scallops, lamb loin, a chocolate tart, and more. Diners can also add two half glass wine pairings for an additional $10.

Ambar Capitol Hill (Capitol Hill)

This Balkan restaurant is offering traditional dishes with a modern twist, with a lunch menu for $25 per person or $29.99 with dessert, and dinner priced at $55 per person. Some of the dishes include a yaga roasted lamb shoulder, cheese pie, and a pepper and cheese croquette. Happy hour drink specials will also be offered from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. with drinks priced from $6 to $8 each.

Ambar Clarendon (Arlington)

This Balkan cuisine experience is offering special menus from August 5 to 25, with lunch for $25 per person or $29.99 with dessert, and dinner for $55 per person. The menu will feature a vitamin salad, sudzuk flatbread, lamb medallions, and beef short rib goulash.

Ambar Shaw (Shaw)

This Balkan restaurant will offer a lunch menu for $25 per person or $29.99 with a dessert included, as well as dinner for $55 per person. The menu will feature items such as a forest mushroom crepe, eggplant moussaka, and chicken stroganoff. They will also be offering happy hour drink specials from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and 12 p.m. to 3:3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, with drinks priced from $6 to $8. Their restaurant week deals will be available from August 5 to 25.

Bindaas Foggy Bottom (Foggy Bottom)

This restaurant will offer a three-course menu during both lunch and dinner, with lunch priced at $25 and dinner for $40. Some of the featured menu items include mango pani puri, Dhaba Gosht, Chooza Shashlik, and sticky pudding cake. Their restaurant week specials will be extended from August 12 to 25.

Bombay Club (Connecticut Avenue)

This Indian cuisine spot will serve a $35 lunch menu and $55 four-course dinner menu. Some of the featured items include duck salli, lamb saag, nimbu fish tikka, and spiced chocolate mousse.
