WASHINGTON D.C., DC — You might know Tichina Arnold as a mom on TV, but have you seen her hilarious mom videos on Instagram?
Tichina Arnold is a TV sitcom legend who has come to Washington, D.C. to perform in the world premier of "The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963" at the Kennedy Center through Sunday.
Arnold has assumed the role of matriarch in many of her TV projects like CBS's "The Neighborhood" and the syndicated show "Everybody Hates Chris".
She's also playing the matriarch of the Watson family as Wilona Watson, in the stage adaptation of the Newbery Medal and Coretta Scott King award-winning book.
"This is a beautiful story, it is just a piece that's funny, it's poignant and it's during the civil rights era during the time of the Alabama church bombing, which was devastating to so many people." Arnold said.
Arnold encourages the audience to bring their kids, as it's a great way to learn about the era as the story is told through the eyes of a 10-year-old boy.
And speaking of encouraging, for all you matriarchs out there just like Tichina, check out her Instagram where she and her daughter keep it real.
