WASHINGTON -- Florence will get pulled northward and its remnants will bring an increased threat of showers & storms to the DC metro area Monday and Tuesday.
Rain totals look to be around 1" to 2", and locally 2" to 4" is possible. There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect. We'll monitor the possibility for some localized flooding issues. Later in the week, river levels will rise after this heavy rainfall.

Metro Area Timing:
- Monday - Showers, Storms and locally heavy rain. Showers & storms will come in waves. DC showers/storms most prominent in the afternoon/evening.
- Monday night - Showers & storms continue. Locally heavy rain.
- Tuesday - A chance of more showers & storms, especially in the afternoon. Clearing by the evening.
