KEY POINTS:
- Snow gradually ending Sunday afternoon
- Most of the snow will accumulate on the grass and non-paved surfaces
Before we get to the pizza and wings on Super Bowl Sunday, we'll have to dodge a few snowflakes. In general, we have picked up a trace to 2 inches of snow. across D.C. Metro Sunday. Most of the snow piled up on grass.
Since temperatures have been so warm leading up to the snow event, it will initially melt as it falls down. Also, temperatures in most areas will stay above freezing Sunday.
Southern Maryland, the Lower Eastern Shore and Ocean City will not see much snow at all ... if any.
