Hurricane Irma hit the northern Leeward Islands as a category 5 hurricane with winds sustained at 185 mph and gusts over 200 mph! The storm weakened to a category 4 hurricane when it hit the Florida Keys, but still had sustained winds of 130 mph with gusts over 150 mph.
