The 4th of July is looking quite toasty in the low to mid 90s. In addition to being hot, it will also be noticeably more humid making it feel like 101 - 105 degrees.
Scattered storms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening, so if you have outdoor plans make sure you have a place to properly seek shelter if a storm rolls through. Not everyone will see a shower or storm, but where the develop, the biggest concern will be locally heavy rain, lightning and briefly gusty wind.
All storm chances look to wind down by 9 p.m. and firework displays should go off without a weather hitch, although a leftover shower or two isn't out of the question.
