Our dry streak without any measurable rain is now up to 34 days, tying the previous record of 34 days set back in 2007. A burn ban has been issued for the state of Maryland, meaning there can be no outdoor burning or any kind. The ongoing dry conditions paired with dried leaf debris is keeping the risk of brush fires elevated.
While shower chances Thursday won't amount to much, if anything, a better chance for rain returns by late Saturday night. Showers look to continue off and on throughout the day Sunday. If you're planning on heading to the Commanders game, it won't be a total washout, but have a poncho ready to pack!
