WASHINGTON — A few showers Tuesday morning may impact your commute for some but most of the day is sunny, breezy and mild.

The rain and showers will pass quickly through the area and be out of the DMV by the end of the morning commute. Throughout the afternoon expect partly sunny skies and gusty winds. Temperatures will still be mild in the low to mid 60s.

A dynamic weather setup is unfolding as we head into the Thanksgiving holiday. A storm system will fly through the area early Thursday morning bringing a period of chilly rain from around 6 a.m. - 12 p.m. A few more showers are possible in the afternoon and evening but most of the second half of the day looks dry...just cloudy and cool. Showers return Thursday night as another weaker storm system passes to our south.
Showers will clear out for most by Black Friday but some flakes could mix in for western Maryland and West Virginia.
All signs are pointing to a very cold end of November and start to December. The extended outlook shows a few days with highs only in the 30s.
