Marathon, cherry blossoms could lead to heavy weekend traffic

Road closures are in place for the National Cherry Blossom Festival and the Rock N Roll Half Marathon.

WASHINGTON — Plan for congested roadways in the District this weekend. The Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon and 5K takes place Saturday, and there will be a lot of road closures and restrictions starting at 7 a.m.

The 5K starts at 8 a.m. at RFK Stadium in Lot 3. If you're getting there via Metro, take the Blue, Orange or Silver Lines to Stadium-Armory. Then, the half-marathon starts at 8:30 a.m. at Constitution Avenue and 14th Street NW. Metro travelers will want to arrive at Federal Triangle or Smithsonian stations.

The following streets will be posted as Emergency No Parking on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 12:01 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.:
