Thursday, Oct. 12:

New Forever stamp featuring late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed at the Postal Museum, 2 Massachusettes Avenue NE

  • The Postal Museum is celebrating the release of the new Forever stamp by talking with experts and staying open late for a special portraiture-themed self-guide for participants to use to explore the galleries.
  • The talk begins at 6 p.m., followed by a reception featuring light refreshments from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. 
  • This event is free and registration is not required.

Washington Wizards Vs. Charlotte Hornets at Capital One Arena, 601 F Street NW

  • Tickets start at $16 to see the Wizards take on the Hornets at home. 
  • The game starts at 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 13:

In-Gallery Writing Workshop Inspired by 1898, 800 G Street NW

  • In this free creative writing workshop, participants will use guided writing prompts inspired by works of art and historical documents.
  • Open to writers of all levels and genres, ages 18 and up.

Friday the 13th Comedy Jam with Starr Struck, 1942 11th Street NW

  • Tickets are $15 per person to see live comedy Friday night at Solly's in Northwest.

Grown Up Story Time Dinner with Tara Hoot, 713 8th Street SE

  • Get ready for a night of stories, songs, twirls and even more fabulous fun with Tara Hoot.
  • Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.
  • Tickets are $12 per person.

Saturday, Oct. 14:

Adams Morgan Fall PorchFest

POSTPONED UNTIL NOV. 4 DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • PorchFest is returning and bringing all your favorite local bands and musicians to porches in Adams Morgan from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
  • With approximately 100 bands, this event will showcase nearly every musical genre, including classic rock, funk, go-go, rap, reggae, bluegrass, classical, and pop.

Georgetown Fall Market, 3217 P Street NW

  • The two-day market, held Saturday to Sunday, will feature sidewalk shopping, outdoor dining, and fall-themed programming from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

DC Wine Fest! Fall Edition, 1309 5th Street NE

  • From noon until 10 p.m., try wines from around the world at DC's Wine Fall Fest.
  • Tickets range from $32 to $65 per person depending on what session you sign up for.

Sunday, Oct. 15:

Tai Chi in the Park, 1550 Anacostia Avenue NE 

  • A free, hour-long Tai Chi class led by Coach Fogan will be held at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Ward 7 starting at 10 a.m., with check-in at 9:45 a.m.
