WASHINGTON — While many businesses will shut down for the holiday, several will remain open for anyone running last minute errands.
So, before leaving your house, check out our list of what will be open and closed Christmas Day.
Open
- CVS Pharmacy
- Most locations will be open during normal operating hours, some locations may be closed or have reduced hours.
- Walgreens
- Most locations will be open with reduced hours.
- Giant
- Most grocery locations will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., with some closed for the holiday.
- AMC and Regal Cinemas
- Most locations set to be open Christmas Day.
- Founding Farmers
- The D.C., Tysons, and Rockville locations will be open.
- Yardbird Table and Bar
- The classic American restaurant will be open for the holiday.
- The Pembroke
- The French-inspired restaurant in the Dupont Circle Hotel will be open.
- Flavio
- The Georgetown restaurant features Italian favorites.
- Ambar
- This Arlington restaurant showcases a small plates menu of traditional Balkan dishes.
- Burger King
- Caribou Coffee
- Dave & Buster's
- Dunkin
- Denny's
- Five Guys Burgers and Fries
- IHOP
- McDonald's
- Starbucks
- Waffle House
- Wendy's

In addition, Metro trains will operate on a Sunday holiday schedule from 7 a.m. until midnight. Metrobuses will run on a regular Sunday schedule.
Both VRE and MARC trains will not run on Christmas Day.
Anyone traveling on the I-95 Express Lanes is reminded that there will be no reversal on the holiday, with lanes remaining southbound.
